Second part of ‘Qatar Siege’ book released

The second part of “Qatar Siege” book by the writer Khalid Abdullah al-Ziyara has been recently released.

The nearly 140-pages book exposes the lies and allegations of the siege countries in a way that respects the mindset of the reader and avoids the polemics.



In the first chapter the global presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani during the crisis, and the Qatari presence in different international forums.

The second chapter touches on the Qatari government‘s management of the crisis on different national and international levels.

The third chapter focuses on the role of the Qatari media in facing the siege.

In the fourth chapter he highlighted the importance of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) as a historic achievement for the Gulf people and discusses the role of the Kuwaiti mediation and its efforts to resolve the crisis.

In the next chapter, the writer touches on several issues related to the siege such as the first strategic dialogue between the State of Qatar and the US and the efforts of the National Human Rights Committee.

The book then talks about the conferences that targeted Qatar during the siege referring to the siege countries’ efforts to prevent the win of Qatar’s candidate Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kuwari as Director-General of Unesco.

Al-Ziyara had released the first part of the book in December 2017 with 100 pages including more than 30 analytical and critical articles on his vision of the Gulf crisis.
