The event is expected to host more than 16,000 people from over 80 countries.
The company highlighted the activities and role it plays in the development of the maritime transport sector in the region as well as its strategy to transform Qatar into a vibrant regional trading centre by investing in modern technology and adopting best practices in its operations in one of the largest ports in the Middle East (Hamad Port).
Manateq showcased the Um Alhoul Economic Zone, adjacent to Hamad Port, which is dedicated to supporting maritime and marine industries, supply and processing services, petrochemical industries, food-related industries and others like automotive, equipment, machinery, construction and building materials industries.
Under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Qatar Ports Management Company is developing Qatar’s maritime transport sector in accordance with clear plans and vision aimed at enhancing the sector’s contribution to Qatar GDP and achieving the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
The strategic goal of the company is to transform Qatari ports into “ports of choice” for all users, including main shipping lines through efficient operations and enhanced customer focus.
Mwani Qatar said it endeavours to consolidate its leading position locally for a strong regional and international presence as a leading integrated port and logistics services provider.
